Nothing is forever, and the time comes when we must say goodbye to the world we know. Goodbye to everything we had taken for granted. Goodbye to those we thought would never abandon us. And when these changes finally do occur, when the familiar has departed and the unfamiliar has taken its place, all any of us can really do is to say hello and welcome.

To Be Young Again
I want to be a kid again. I want to go back to the time when:
- Decisions were made by going "lat tali lat tali tam pom."
- Mistakes were corrected by simply exclaiming, "do over!"
- "Race issue" meant arguing about who ran the fastest...
- Money issues were handled by whoever was the banker in "Monopoly."
- Catching the dragonflies could happily occupy an entire evening...
- It wasn't odd to have two or three "best" friends...
- Being old, referred to anyone over 20...
- It was magic when dad would "remove" his thumb...
- Scrapes and bruises were kissed and made better...
- It was a big deal to finally be tall enough to ride the "big people" rides at the amusement park..
- Spinning around, getting dizzy and falling down was cause for giggles...
- The worst embarrassment was being picked last for a team...
- War was a card game...
- Water balloons were the ultimate weapon...
- Ice cream was considered a basic food group...
- Ang pows are received without the persistant nagging of when's your turn...
If you can remember most or all of these, then you have really LIVED!!!!

Where does that leave me?
Education has made me snobbish,
The good things in life has made me unappreciative;
The choices i have make me picky;
And I am selective.
The need to be liked has made me unnatural,
The downfalls in life has made me afraid,
The fear in me makes me less than courageous,
And in my strive to achieve moderation,
I swing from extreme to extreme.
So, where does that leave me?

Just sing with all your heart =)
Looking back on what I said all those years ago, all the hopes and dreams I had, I've come to the conclusion that if having things turn out the way you wanted them to is a measure of a successful life, then some would say I'm a failure... The important thing is not to be bitter over life's disappointments... Learn to let go of the past, and recognize that every day won't be sunny... And when you find yourself lost in the darkness of despair remember, it's only in the black of night that you see the stars, and those stars lead you back home...
It is said that the saddest thing a man will ever face is what might have been... But what if the man who's faced with what was... or what may never be... or what can no longer be... Choosing the right path is never easy, it's a decision we make with only our hearts to guide us... But sometimes we find our way to something better... Sometimes we fight through the regret and remorse of our mistakes, our malice and our jealousy, and the shame we feel for not being the people we were meant to be... And that's when we find our way to something better... or when something better finds its way to us...
Every song has a CODA, a final movement... Whether it fades out or crashes away... Every song ends... Is that any reason not to enjoy the music? The truth is, there is nothing to be afraid of... It's just life...

Does this path have heart?
Each path is only one of a million paths... Therefore, you must always keep in mind that a path is only a path... If you feel that you must now follow it, you need not stay with it under any circumstances...
Any path is only a path... There is no affront to oneself or others in dropping it if that is what your heart tells you to do... But your decision to keep on the path must be free of fear or ambition...
All paths are the same... They lead nowhere... There are paths going through the brush or into the brush or under the brush... Does this path have a heart is the only question... If it does, then the path is good... If doesn't, it is of no use...
